Coalition for Compassionate Care of California Joins the National Coalition for Hospice and Palliative Care

The National Coalition for Hospice and Palliative Care (NCHPC) is pleased to announce the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California (CCCC) has joined the Coalition. Recognized nationally, the CCCC is a statewide coalition of organizations, institutions, healthcare providers, state agencies, and individuals working together to promote high-quality, compassionate palliative and end-of-life care for all Californians.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the NCHPC and the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California,” said Jessica Hausauer, executive director at the NCHPC. “This marks the first time another coalition has joined our membership, giving all the stakeholders extended reach in our combined efforts to improve care for serious illness.”

The Coalition for Compassionate Care of California works to improve quality of life and care for persons with serious illness and those who care for them. The mission is to make conversations about serious illness a part of everyday life and palliative care a part of everyday healthcare. Since 1998, CCCC has convened their coalition of thought leaders and frontline healthcare providers across all sectors, government agencies, industry associations, community activists, academic institutions, and members of the public, aligning their interests and efforts toward shared goals.

The NCHPC advocates for patients and their families with serious or life-limiting illnesses on matters affecting equitable access to quality palliative care and also hospice care. As a coalition, the NCHPC works side-by-side with our members to be the voice at a national level advocating for equitable policies and improved outcomes for serious illness care across the lifespan. With the addition of CCCC, the NCHPC gained a recognized leader in the field of serious illness care.
