Coalition Members

NCHPC coalition members are national leaders in the interdisciplinary field of serious illness care. Our coalition is comprised of member organizations with demonstrated leadership in advocacy, quality, payment, research, and workforce initiatives that aim to improve serious illness care on behalf of patients, families, and caregivers.

Being a member of the NCHPC coalition means that an organization works to cooperate, communicate, and collaborate with others as a unified voice at a national level on key issues. Members engage in an ongoing consensus-based, collaborative forum, which allows the exchange of ideas that provide a basis for our progress in serious illness care. The NCHPC coalition members shape policy, engage with policymakers and stakeholders, and share information and resources.

.

Through our member organizations, the NCHPC represents thousands of palliative care and hospice providers who form diverse interdisciplinary teams: physicians, physician associates, nurses, social workers, chaplains, pharmacists, and researchers. Each member is an essential part of our shared impact.

Our members collectively represent more than 5,500 physicians, 1,000 physician associates, 11,000 nurses, 5,000 chaplains, 8,000 social workers, researchers, and pharmacists, along with over 1,800 palliative care programs and 5,300 hospices caring for millions of patients and families living with serious illness each year across the United States.
